Liz Morris Ministries Story

In 2017, Liz was asked to volunteer for a rescue ministry which took her to the most dangerous location in Dallas, TX. Two nights previous, a murder had taken place on that very spot, so police were on high alert, keeping a close watch as the ministry served food to those in need. Volunteers had to wear closed- toed shoes to avoid infected needles, and behind barred windows, residents kept a suspicious eye on these outsiders who had come to serve. The locals’ stories were tragic, even hopeless.

But where some may see a lost cause, Liz saw an opportunity.

This encounter, both shocking and unforgettable, opened her eyes to a reality far removed from herself and those like her … that is, those who live in the comfort of suburban homes. That day, Liz met people whose lives were so compromised and marginalized, they resembled characters she’d seen only on television or in movies. Yet, here they were, right in her own backyard.

Liz has always had a heart for sharing the gospel and ministering to others.  But this experience compelled Liz to more significant action. She prayed for an avenue to help the hurting and helpless … an avenue that would make a much greater impact than what she could do alone.

Out of this experience, over the ensuing years, was born a network of domestic and international outreach ministries.  All successful, all growing, all based on a very simple premise … together, we can do more. Specific ministries include:

The Dallas Dream Team. This organization pools members’ financial resources together to help fund local Dallas charities that are helping the least of these, as well as funding Dallas-based missionaries serving around the world. The Dream Team has granted over $343,000 to charities in its first four years (with COVID affecting 18 months of those four years).

Dream Global Projects.  A fortuitous meeting of a Dallas-based missionary and a 3rd generation Pakistani Pastor has resulted in an incredible Dallas/Pakistan partnership to build a Christian orphanage in a remote area of Pakistan.  The effort is well underway and will bless many children, seeding a future generation of Christians.  More projects are envisioned in Pakistan, including additional orphanages, water wells, and mobile medical services.

Wisdom Wednesday. In addition to presiding over the Dream Team, Liz hosts a monthly non-denominational women’s gathering (Wisdom Wednesday) to teach, pray, worship and fellowship.

Gawahi TV in Pakistan. Through a unique mission opportunity, Liz and Safeeya minister regularly to a Muslim audience through Gawahi TV in Pakistan.

Frequent Speaker and Evangelist.  Liz is a popular speaker at Conferences, Christian Organizations, on radio and television.  Follow her on Facebook and check out her YouTube channel lizmorris.org.

Our Team

Liz Morris Ministries’ mission is about people and FOR people. And the most important resource for our ministry’s success is YOU!

We could not serve the breadth of needs and accomplish the many projects we have without you. All of us together make a TEAM. So, thank you for your support, selfless dedication, and consistency in your contributions. You are meeting needs of our local and global community, providing hope for many.

Our Values

“Teach me what I can’t see.”  Job 34:32 “Let us learn together what is good.” Job 34:3

These verses from Job, the oldest book in the Bible, help frame the focus and values of Liz Morris Ministries.  We rely on God to open our eyes to where we can best focus our efforts, and together, we learn how we can best help.

What Sets Us Apart?

CHRIST-CENTERED

The gospel of Jesus is the center of our ministry work.  We are not affiliated with any church or denomination.  We seek to find and support Christian non-profit organizations that are already serving their community in an effective manner, and we join forces with them to extend and/or elevate their ministry to a higher level.

SERVANT HEART

For those of us who live in middle class America, we recognize that for the most part we live a sheltered life.  We are rarely exposed to the realities of those who are less fortunate and struggling, both domestically and abroad.  Our commitment is to study, learn, visit, sponsor and encourage our fellow Christian missions/missionaries, not duplicating their efforts but providing financial aid and resources to those already achieving clear success.

KINGDOM FOCUS

We consider ourselves “Investors for the Kingdom.” Our goal is to quite simply to pool our blessings – time, talent and financial gifts – to serve God’s children, wherever they may be.  We believe that Jesus has the power of transformation, and by investing in already successful Christian missions we further enable that transformative power.

Leadership

We are ordinary people, children of God, transformed by the Gospel, and called to an extraordinary journey.

Our mission is about people, and our work is for people. Therefore, the most important resource to help us succeed in our mission is the incredible people with whom we serve.
